Due to snowfall in Artvin, education has been suspended for one day in the central district as well as in the districts of Şavşat and Murgul.
Due to the heavy snowfall affecting the Artvin region and the expected frost leading to excessive icing, education was suspended in some districts on Tuesday, December 17. According to information from the Meteorology Provincial Directorate, it was stated that in addition to the ongoing snowfall, icing and frost events that could negatively impact transportation may occur.

In a statement from the Artvin Governor's Office, it was announced that education would be suspended for 1 day in primary and secondary schools, special education and rehabilitation centers, and public education centers in the central district and its affiliated villages, as well as in the districts of Şavşat and Murgul. It was also announced that transportation-based education would be suspended in the Borçka district. Additionally, it was reported that pregnant and disabled personnel working in public institutions in the central, Şavşat, and Murgul districts would also be considered on administrative leave on the same date.
Authorities warned citizens to be cautious against adverse weather conditions, stating that the effects of the snowfall would continue for a while longer.
