Ekrem İmamoğlu: We will go to Damascus as the Union of Turkish Municipalities.

İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Ekrem İmamoğlu, katıldığı televizyon programında açıklamalarda bulundu. Gündeme ilişkin konuşan İmamoğlu, Suriye'deki gelişmelere de değindi.

"OUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED"

"Especially in the reconstruction of Syria, we made an application as the Union of Turkish Municipalities," said İmamoğlu, "At the point we have reached today, we have been accepted by the Damascus Governorate through the initiatives made by the Embassy of Damascus. Our technical and bureaucratic team will go there very soon," he stated.

"WE MUST TAKE INITIATIVE IN THE PROCESS OF SYRIA'S EXISTENCE"

In the continuation of his statements, İmamoğlu said, "In Syria, whether Sunni, Shia, Alevi, Jewish, or Christian, we want to contribute to the establishment of cities where people of all beliefs and backgrounds can find themselves and receive equal services. In a democratic rule of law, we must take initiative as cities to contribute to the process of establishing a Syria where every segment can be represented. I have reiterated these thoughts in writing," he expressed.
