Elena Rybakina will face Ons Jabeur in the Wimbledon women's final after winning her semifinal match Thursday

The 17th seed Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan beat 2019 champion Simona Halep from Romania 6-3, 6-3 on Center Court in a match that went 1 hour and 20 minutes.

"It was a great match. Simona is a great champion and we had many tough matches before," Rybakina said after the match. "I was really focused today and I'm really happy with my performance because I think I played really solid today."

Jabeur of Tunisia beat Tatjana Maria from Germany earlier to reach her first Grand Slam final.

She became the first Tunisian and Arab player to reach a Grand Slam final.

The final will be held on Center Court on Saturday. -
