The artist known as the Emperor, İbrahim Tatlıses, shared moments of himself singing a song by Ferdi Tayfur, who passed away due to organ failure, on his social media account. Tatlıses added the note, "We will never forget you, and we will not let anyone forget you. The prince of Arabesque."

Ferdi Tayfur, who passed away at the age of 79 due to liver and kidney failure in the hospital where he was treated in Antalya on January 2, was laid to rest on January 4 after a rarely seen funeral ceremony in Istanbul.

HE WAS OVERWHELMED WITH TEARS AT THE FUNERAL

İbrahim Tatlıses also attended Tayfur's funeral. Unable to hold back his tears, Tatlıses expressed the following during his speech at the funeral: "We lost the prince of Arabesque, not his father, we lost the prince. May his place be paradise, inshallah. We came to bid farewell to the prince of Arabesque. May Turkey's head be healthy. We ate a lot of his bread. When he came to Ibo Show, the ratings skyrocketed. An artist, after a certain hour, becomes the property of the public, and the public adopts him. After a certain hour, the public takes ownership of him."

Tatlıses moved many with his post after Tayfur's passing. While traveling in a car, Tatlıses shared moments of listening to Ferdi Tayfur's song "Emmoğlu" and singing along.
