An important milestone has been passed in the process of a terrorism-free Turkey. Yesterday, the terrorist organization PKK announced that it had completed the congress where it would dissolve itself, following Abdullah Öcalan's call on February 27. Today, the organization announced its decision to dissolve.
Ali Fuat Önder, brother of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who made special statements to tv100, said, "I want people to embrace each other, regardless of the 'but', 'however', or 'how'."
"MAY SPRING COME TO OUR COUNTRY, MAY BROTHERHOOD WIN"
Önder's ongoing statement is as follows;
They are all good people. A very significant job has been accomplished for the benefit of this country. I hope and believe that it will continue. We want spring to come to our country, we want brotherhood to win, we want peace to win. This is our only wish.
"I DREAM OF A TURKEY LIKE A FESTIVAL"
They often start by saying "old holidays," but I want to wake up to a Turkey morning that feels like a festival. A place where everyone's face is smiling, where everyone embraces each other, greets each other, chats, asks about each other's well-being, and where this tension should come to an end. I dream of such a Turkey, I want to wake up to such a morning, like a festival.
"A BEAUTIFUL HORIZON HAS OPENED"
At least for the rest of our lives, we want all the children, grandchildren, and everyone in this country to live comfortably. A beautiful horizon has opened. Sırrı Süreyya Önder was not the only one who contributed to this. There were many components to this.
I believe there are people who contributed as much as or even more than Sırrı Süreyya. This is certainly not just a job accomplished by my brother. However, I believe that a person's life and death clearly demonstrate what their intention is to a society.
"WE PAID A PRICE"
I love my country and all people. We paid a price, we are hurting. What alleviates our pain are these beautiful statements. Without any 'but' or 'however', I want everyone to embrace each other.
