President Erdogan congratulated approximately 18 million students who received their report cards and their families, wishing the children a productive and enjoyable summer holiday. As the 2025-2026 academic year ends and students begin their summer break, LGS results will be announced on July 10, and YKS results on July 22.
President Erdogan congratulated students who received their report cards in a post on his social media account. In his post, Erdogan said, "I congratulate each of our children, our dear young people, and our valuable families who have received their report cards today with my most heartfelt feelings. I wish our precious children a productive and enjoyable summer vacation."
18 MILLION STUDENTS START SUMMER VACATION
Approximately 18 million students studying in primary, secondary, and high schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education have started their summer vacation after receiving their report cards. The 2025-2026 academic year, which began on September 8, 2025, ended today. Students at the primary, secondary, and high school levels began their summer break after an intense educational period. During the break, students will have the opportunity to rest and engage in social activities.
According to the Ministry of National Education's work calendar, teachers' professional development activities will start on September 1, 2026. In the 2026-2027 academic year, orientation training for preschool and first-grade students will be held between September 7 and 11. The first school bell will ring on September 14.
LGS AND YKS RESULT DATES ANNOUNCED
Meanwhile, the results of the central exam under the High School Transition System (LGS) will be announced on July 10, and the results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) will be announced on July 22.
