President Erdoğan made evaluations regarding the agenda at the AK Party's group meeting. Speaking about the recent developments in Syria, Erdoğan stated, "The struggle of the Syrian people, marked by hardships, reached victory with the liberation of Damascus on December 8. The owners of this success are, first Allah, and then our Syrian brothers."

Stating that the Syrian people saved their country from a massacre network, Erdoğan said, "As that beautiful Kerkük folk song says; 'I have seen days, I have seen days. I saw you and I was glad.' We too are glad every time we see the Free Syrian flag alongside our star and crescent flag in Aleppo, Damascus, Hama, Homs, and Manbij," he said.
