European Stock Markets Close Thursday Mixed

European stock markets closed mixed on Thursday, with STOXX 600 and French stock exchange posting losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.15 point, or 0.03%, to close at 486.05.

France's CAC 40 declined 36 points, or 0.5%, to 7,201.

London's FTSE 100, on the other hand, gained 12 points, or 0.16%, to end at 7,563, while Germany's DAX 30 rose 21 points, or 0.13%, to 16,031.

Italy's FTSE MIB 30 gained 130 points, or 0.47%, to settle at 27,844.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, adding 46 points, or 0.53%, to finish at 8,816. -
