MESSAGE TO RETIREES IN KOCATEPE
Özgür Özel argued at the meeting held at the Kocatepe Cultural Center that the purchasing power of pensions has declined. Özel stated that the lowest pension used to be 1.5 times the minimum wage in the past, but today it has fallen to 0.7 times the minimum wage; he emphasized that the amount of quarter gold that retirees can buy with their pensions has decreased.

Özel noted that he has seen "a level of anger he has never seen before" in the field recently, expressing that a social crisis is approaching. He also mentioned the ongoing efforts in the Parliament regarding the lowest pension, stating that the members of parliament have been on duty during the General Assembly process.
LOWEST PENSION PROPOSAL ON THE PARLIAMENT AGENDA
It was stated that the AK Party submitted a bill to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) that includes a regulation to raise the lowest pension to 20,000 TL, and that the proposal has passed through the committee and the final decision will be made in the General Assembly.

Recalling Bahçeli's expression of "starvation wage," Özel highlighted the voting in the Parliament and stated that they will present a conciliatory proposal by consulting with all parties. By consulting with other parties and asking the MHP, we will provide a proposal that all parties can agree on. If everyone who calls this salary a 'starvation salary' votes, you are not a minority in the Parliament, you are the majority.
