A FIRE BROKE OUT AFTER THE EXPLOSION
The incident occurred at around 18:40 at the aluminum factory located in the Akyazı district. An explosion occurred for an unknown reason in the foundry section of the factory. A fire broke out after the explosion.
ONE OF THE WORKERS IS IN SERIOUS CONDITION
Upon flames rising from the factory, a large number of fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the area. According to initial findings, 2 workers were injured in the explosion, 1 seriously. The worker whose condition was serious was taken to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital, and the other worker was taken to Akyazı State Hospital and placed under treatment.
The fire was extinguished by the intervention of fire brigade teams. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
