Explosion in coal mine in Iran: 13 workers lost their lives.

A methane gas explosion occurred in a coal mine in South Khorasan, Iran. As a result of the explosion, 13 miners lost their lives and 12 miners were injured. Rescue operations are ongoing.

In a statement to the Iranian state television, the governor of South Khorasan province, Javad Kanaat, reported that a methane gas explosion occurred last night in two blocks of the coal mine in the city of Tabas.

The Iranian official stated that 13 miners lost their lives and 12 miners were injured in the incident, noting that a total of 69 people were working in the blocks of the mine and that rescue operations by expert teams are ongoing for those trapped.
