The Greek government approved defense programs worth a total of 5 billion euros during the Foreign Policy and Defense Council meeting. Topics discussed at the meeting included Israeli-made air defense systems, the modernization of F-16 fighter jets, and F-35 projects.
It was reported that the Government Foreign Policy and Defense Council (KYSSEA) in Greece approved defense programs with a total value of approximately 5 billion euros.

The Government Foreign Policy and Defense Council (KYSSEA) of Greece officially approved the defense package worth approximately 5 billion euros.
ISRAELI AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS AND FIGHTER JETS TO BE MODERNIZED
According to news in the Greek press, during the meeting held yesterday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, developments in the Middle East as well as armament programs were discussed.
Decisions were made regarding the procurement of Israeli-made air defense systems, the upgrade of 38 F-16 Block 50 fighter jets to "Viper" level, and the modernization of 4 MEKO class frigates belonging to the navy.
Additionally, the advancement of infrastructure works for F-35 fighter jets and the approval of the maintenance program for C-27 transport aircraft were discussed in the meeting.
