The President of Kayserispor Club, Ali Çamlı, announced that he will not be a candidate in the extraordinary general assembly elections to be held on September 8th. Çamlı stated at a press conference held at the club facilities that they have been working with the board members for about 33 months to achieve success for Kayserispor. Çamlı, who mentioned their own mistakes during their tenure, said, "I want to pay the price of a mistake I made in front of you. Olivier Kemen left the club because he couldn't collect his 190,000 euros. I am paying the 96,250 euros that reflected on the club from this incident because I think it was my mistake to terminate the contract." "I AM NOT A CANDIDATE"Ali Çamlı, stating that they have closed 75 debt files belonging to the club during their tenure, said the following: "Last week, after the match we played against Sivasspor, I made a call for a general assembly. Some groups are trying to divert this call elsewhere. I am saying it very clearly and openly. I am tired now. The point where I brought the club is clear. We brought the club to a manageable place. There is no problem in our club right now except for the inheritance of the previous president Berna Gözbaşı. There is no debt that will not be paid. I am renewing this call. I no longer want to manage. I made a general assembly decision, I am not a candidate." "BERNA GÖZBAŞI PUT A LIEN ON ALL REVENUES"Çamlı stated that Berna Gözbaşı put a lien on all the club's revenues due to her receivables and continued as follows: "All of Kayserispor's revenues are seized by banks. Until this lien ends, all the money will flow into this system. We applied to the court to examine the club's accounts. If Berna Gözbaşı has a receivable, she will get it. The decision will be made by the state from now on. We brought this club here for 33 months with bilateral relations and sponsorship agreements, but now I am also being hindered in this regard. Some people are trying to prevent sponsors from calling and giving money to the club. How can I manage this place? If there is someone who can manage this place under these conditions, let them come and be the president without waiting for the general assembly." "WE HAVE A 500,000 EURO DEBT TO BE PAID"Çamlı, stating that there is no situation in which the club cannot be managed except for the lien, said the following: "When Berna Gözbaşı took over, Kayserispor's debt was 260 million Turkish liras. This amount was 41 million euros at that time. When I took over from Berna Gözbaşı, our debt was 879 million Turkish liras. This is approximately 44 million euros. In addition to this debt, there was a debt of nearly 13 million euros from the files at FIFA. This debt caused a transfer ban. I paid this as well. Approximately 9 million euros were paid as agent fees during Gözbaşı's tenure. During Berna Gözbaşı's tenure, the club had an income of 600 million Turkish liras. In other words, 49 million euros came to the club during Gözbaşı's tenure. Currently, our club has a debt of 500,000 euros to be paid, except for the lien of Berna Gözbaşı. The next management will only pay player salaries. There are currently 9 files remaining. The most important of these files is the Umut Bulut file. This file has not been concluded yet. According to our club records, Umut Bulut has no receivables. Hopefully, it will be resolved in this way. Our national license is disabled due to Bilal Başaçıkoğlu's receivable. We are in talks with both the player and his agents to remove this obstacle. We want to solve this problem and go to the general assembly smoothly before the general assembly." Ali Çamlı stated that if the current 9 files in FIFA result in favor of the club, the debt will be 320 million Turkish liras, and with the lien, the total debt will reach 972 million Turkish liras. "FENERBAHÇE BROUGHT TRANSFER BAN"Vice President Nurettin Açıkalın claimed that one of Kayserispor's biggest financial problems is due to the transfer of Mame Thiam from Fenerbahçe during Berna Gözbaşı's tenure and said, "In the season when Thiam was transferred, the away fans were not allowed into the stadium during the match played against Fenerbahçe in Kayseri. Shortly after this incident, Fenerbahçe brought a transfer ban due to the Thiam transfer. In other words, 'If you don't let my fans in, I will bring a transfer ban.' This club cannot pay off these liens even if it finishes the league in 11th or 12th place for 4-5 years." Meanwhile, Onur Gözbaşı, who served as the vice president in the club last term, came to the hall towards the end of the meeting and then had a short meeting with Ali Çamlı.
