In operations conducted in Istanbul, 2,350 liters of alcohol and 91 bottles of counterfeit liquor were seized. One person was arrested in the operation.
In Istanbul, police teams seized 2,350 liters of alcohol and 91 bottles of counterfeit liquor in operations targeting restaurants, nightclubs, and bars over the past week. One of the suspects taken into custody during the operation has been arrested. The Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Smuggling Branch teams conducted operations in restaurants, nightclubs, and bars in Ataşehir, Kadıköy, and Arnavutköy as part of their efforts against alcohol smuggling.
1 SUSPECT ARRESTED
During the searches, a total of 2,350 liters of ethyl/methyl alcohol, believed to be used in the production of alcoholic beverages, and 91 bottles of counterfeit liquor were seized. Additionally, background checks (GBT and UYAP) were conducted on 1,454 individuals during the inspections. One business found to be operating unlawfully was sealed and shut down. Among the suspects caught in the operation, one was arrested by the court and sent to prison, while proceedings continue for one other suspect.
