In the Erdek district of Balıkesir, İsmail Süzan was killed by a shotgun fired by Ali Topallar during an argument over loud music. Süzan's body was carried using the tow truck he had worked on for years.
In the Erdek district of Balıkesir, the body of İsmail Süzan (46), who was shot with a pump-action shotgun by Ali Topallar (50) during an argument over loud music in his vehicle, was carried to the cemetery on the tow truck he had driven for years. Süzan, married and father of one, was laid to rest with tears.
The incident occurred on May 7 at around 2:00 PM in the Small Industrial Zone. A dispute broke out between welding master Ali Topallar, who runs a business in the industrial zone, and İsmail Süzan, who provides tow truck services and was in the area with his vehicle, over the issue of "listening to loud music." The argument escalated into a fight. Ali Topallar took a pump-action shotgun from his workplace and fired three shots at İsmail Süzan, who is married and father of one. Süzan, hit in the groin, collapsed in a pool of blood. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. After initial intervention, Süzan was taken to Erdek Neyyire Sıtkı State Hospital, then transferred to Bandırma State Hospital for treatment, where he died on May 9. Ali Topallar, taken into custody after the incident, was arrested by the court following his referral to the courthouse.
BODY CARRIED ON TOW TRUCK The funeral prayer for İsmail Süzan was held yesterday at noon at Erdek Yalı Mosque. Süzan's family, fellow tradesmen, and loved ones attended the funeral. After the prayer, Süzan's body, placed on the tow truck he had worked on for years behind the wheel, was taken to Erdek City Cemetery and laid to rest.
