In the first hearing of the case regarding the massacre in which 9 students and 1 teacher lost their lives at Ayser Çalık Middle School in Kahramanmaraş, families and the prosecutor's office objected to the release decision given for Pınar Peyman Mersinli, the mother of the attacker İsa Aras Mersinli. Evaluating the objection, the Kahramanmaraş 4th Heavy Penal Court overturned the release decision and ruled that the detention of mother Mersinli should continue.
A hot development occurred in the case regarding the armed attack at Ayser Çalık Secondary School in Kahramanmaraş, where 9 students and 1 teacher lost their lives. In the first hearing of the case, a decision was made to continue the detention of Pınar Peyman Mersinli, the mother of the attacker İsa Aras Mersinli, who was released by a majority of votes.
FAMILIES AND LAWYERS RUSHED TO THE COURTHOUSE
After the marathon hearing lasting approximately 16 hours, the court panel ruled for the continued detention of the father Uğur Mersinli, while releasing the mother Pınar Peyman Mersinli. Following the release decision, the families of the 9 students and 1 teacher who lost their lives in the incident, along with their lawyers, came to the Kahramanmaraş Courthouse today to protest the decision.
THEY OBJECTED
The families, who submitted their objection petition to the Kahramanmaraş 4th Heavy Penal Court, stated that the mother, Mersinli, also bears responsibility and demanded her arrest.
THE HIGHER COURT ACCEPTED THE OBJECTION
The Kahramanmaraş 4th Heavy Penal Court, evaluating the objection, reviewed the file and found the release decision unjustified. The court ruled for the continuation of the detention of the mother, Pınar Peyman Mersinli.
The next hearing of the trial regarding the attack will be held on December 4th.
