The bride of Uzbek nationality, who allegedly disappeared with jewelry worth approximately 5 million liras after a traditional wedding that lasted three days and three nights in Milas, was detained by police teams. Although the suspect denied the accusations in her initial statement, no gold was found during the search conducted at the address where she was caught, and a comprehensive investigation continues to locate the missing jewelry.
On the morning of a magnificent three-day, three-night wedding in the Milas district of Muğla, the bride, a Uzbek national allegedly disappearing with jewelry worth approximately 5 million Turkish liras, was taken into custody as a result of police tracking.
The wedding organized for the marriage of M.A. and Uzbek national M.C. in the Çomakdağ Kızılağaç neighborhood of Milas, where Yörük culture is kept alive, had resonated widely in the region. The incident of loss that occurred immediately after the traditional event, which also featured oil wrestling matches attended by famous champion wrestlers, was brought to the judicial authorities.
COULD NOT BE FOUND AT HOME ON THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING NIGHT
According to the information obtained, the family, who noticed that the bride was not at home in the morning hours following the magnificent wedding ceremony, also could not find the jewelry that had been presented. The situation was immediately reported to the security forces, and a criminal complaint was filed with the Public Prosecutor's Office after gold and jewelry worth approximately 5 million Turkish liras presented at the wedding went missing.
DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS IN HIS FIRST STATEMENT
Acting on the complaint, teams from the Milas District Police Department identified the missing bride's address as a result of their technical and physical surveillance and carried out an operation. M.C., who was taken into custody, did not accept the charges against her in her first statement at the police station, claiming that she had not taken the jewelry. In the detailed search conducted by police teams at the address where the suspect was caught, no trace was found of the 5 million lira worth of gold and jewelry reported missing.
