Eight suspects, including the famous illusionist Aref Ghafouri, were arrested by the on-duty magistrate court as part of an operation against stock market manipulation.
In the investigation conducted regarding the allegation of manipulation in some transactions in the Borsa İstanbul (BIST) stock market, a decision has been made regarding the suspects, including the famous illusionist Aref Ghafouri, who was detained.
12 PEOPLE DETAINED
In the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that artificial price movements were created by speculation on certain stocks with reports from the Capital Markets Board (CMB). Following this finding, the police procedures of 12 suspects, including the famous illusionist Aref Ghafouri, who were detained, have been completed. The suspects were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after their health checks.
8 PEOPLE, INCLUDING AREF GHOFOURI, WERE ARRESTED
The 8 suspects, including the famous illusionist Aref Ghafouri, known from the Turkey's Got Talent competition, were arrested by the on-duty Criminal Judgeship in connection with the stock manipulation operation.
HOUSE ARREST GIVEN TO TWO NAMES
The other suspects, Gökhan Gönül and Cemal Çetinkaya, were released under judicial control conditions of "prohibition of leaving the residence" and "prohibition of leaving the country."
