The founder of Thodex, Faruk Fatih Özer, appeared before the judge today. While the Thodex case continues to occupy the Turkish agenda, Faruk Fatih Özer's lawyer, Sevgi Erarslan, stated that the company's value of 50 million dollars dropped to zero in one day following the red notice decision. She expressed that this situation is an important factor in the course of the case.
"THERE IS NO ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMMITTING CRIMES"
Erarslan stated that the court reached an important decision regarding the organization charge during the appeal stage, saying, "The appeal chamber has concluded that there is no organization established for the purpose of committing crimes." She argued that this finding would also be effective regarding the fraud charges.
"THE 11,462-YEAR SENTENCE HAS BEEN OVERTURNED"
Evaluating the course of the case, Erarslan announced that the 11,462-year sentence given to Faruk Fatih Özer has been overturned and a release decision was made regarding the organization charge. However, she noted that the detention for the fraud charge continues.
