In the semi-final of the Saudi Arabia King Cup, Fatih Terim's team Al Shabab faced Al Ittihad. In the match played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Al Shabab left the field with a 3-2 defeat due to goals conceded in the final moments, thus bidding farewell to the cup.
THEY EXPERIENCED A NIGHTMARE IN 7 MINUTES
In the 14th minute of the match, Al Ittihad took the lead 1-0 with a penalty goal from Brazilian player Fabinho. The first half ended with this score, while in the second half, Fatih Terim's students imposed their game.
With goals scored by Cristian Guanca in the 64th and 67th minutes, Al Shabab took a 2-1 lead, gaining a significant advantage. However, mistakes made in defense during the extra minutes caused them to miss the ticket to the final.
In the 90+2 and 90+9 minutes of the match, Al Ittihad's star Danilo Pereira stepped up. With two goals, Pereira carried his team to the final, shattering Al Shabab's hopes.
With this result, Al Ittihad secured their place in the final of the Saudi Arabia King Cup, while Al Shabab, under the management of Fatih Terim, dramatically exited the tournament.
