AZİZ YILDIRIM COULD NOT HOLD BACK HIS TEARS
Aziz Yıldırım, who made a statement here, could not hold back his tears during his speech. Expressing his deep sorrow, Yıldırım said, 'I met him 46 years ago. We served together for many years; he was a very good friend of mine. In 1990, we were together under the management of Metin Aşık. When I became president, he was always by our side. We fought together. His signature is on all the works we accomplished. He was my friend and comrade. I pray for God's mercy. I also extend my condolences to his family. This community will not forget you.'
Şekip Mosturoğlu stated, 'We are bidding farewell to our brother Köksal on his eternal journey; we are very sad. I am someone who had the opportunity to work with him. His ideas that shaped the community are still in our minds. His love for Fenerbahçe and his services will always live on in our memories.'
General secretary Orhan Demirel also expressed his views, saying, 'We are experiencing deep sorrow. He was a very good Fenerbahçe supporter who served the club selflessly and put in great effort. I wish patience to his family, close friends, and the Fenerbahçe community.' Özbek's funeral prayer will be held at Kızıltoprak Zühtü Paşa Mosque at noon.
