One of the legendary names of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, passed away at the age of 79 due to liver and kidney failure. A memorial ceremony was held for Tayfur on Saturday at the Atatürk Cultural Center. After the ceremony, a funeral prayer was held for Tayfur at the Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque in Levent. Tayfur, who was sent off on his final journey with an unusually large crowd, had his last wish revealed.

We were together in the hospital in Antalya 3-4 days ago. While in the hospital, he said, 'I am getting better.' We hugged each other. I am not myself."
