Nehir Zeyrek, daughter of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek who lost his life in an accident, harshly reacted to footage of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his team celebrating after the court's 'absolute nullity' ruling, taking over the CHP headquarters. Referring to claims that those who mocked her family's grief while her father fought for his life in the hospital were distributing chocolate and being hosted at the headquarters, Zeyrek said, "Some think everything will be forgotten over time, but they are wrong. The day will come, the wheel will turn."
The waters are not settling in the leadership crisis that began within CHP after the court's 'absolute nullity' decision.
On Sunday, May 24, when police intervened, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's team entered CHP Headquarters, and their celebration with chocolate in the first moments inside the building was captured on camera. While these images sparked debate within the party, Özgür Özel made a striking claim regarding the issue.
ÖZEL: THE ONE WHO DREW THAT CARTOON IS DISTRIBUTING CHOCOLATE AT HER FATHER'S HOME
Speaking at his party's group meeting in Parliament, Özel strongly criticized the footage of chocolate distribution at the headquarters. Claiming that the person in the footage is the creator of a controversial content published in the Yeni Akit newspaper, Özel stated, 'On that day when our dear Ferdi Zeyrek was struggling for his life after being electrocuted, the woman who drew the cartoon mocking him with the headline 'Electrocuted' in Yeni Akit newspaper is now distributing chocolate at her father's home.'
NEHIR ZEYREK: SEEING THOSE PEOPLE AT OUR FATHER'S HOME SADDENED US DEEPLY
Nehir Zeyrek, daughter of Ferdi Zeyrek, the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor who passed away after battling for his life in the hospital following a tragic accident, also expressed her outrage on social media regarding the footage brought up by Özel involving Kılıçdaroğlu.
Stating that she cannot accept those who engage in politics over her father's pain being given a place of honor at the headquarters, Zeyrek voiced her reaction with these words: 'I have not forgotten the headlines, the cartoons, and the posts made while my father was fighting for his life. While we were holding our breath waiting for news, some chose to mock our pain. Today, seeing those who were complicit in this heartlessness during those days present at what we call our family home, our father's home, deeply saddened us. I have not forgotten what was done to Gülşah Durbay, whom I see as my sister, nor what was done to my father, nor what was inflicted on grieving people.'
"A DAY WILL COME, THE WHEEL WILL TURN"
Emphasizing in the continuation of her message that she believes justice will prevail, Nehir Zeyrek concluded with these words: 'Some think everything will be forgotten over time, but they are wrong. A day will come, the wheel will turn. Everyone will have to face the words they spoke, the headlines they made, and the choices they made. We will not forget the disrespect shown to my father, nor what my sister Gülşah was made to endure, nor the heartlessness built upon our pain.'
Zeyrek's post is as follows;
