Fugitive Yasin K., who had a finalized 6-year and 5-month prison sentence in FETÖ/PDY investigations in Kütahya and was alleged to have acted as the so-called 'village elder' within the organization, was caught in a police operation at the house where he was hiding. It was determined that the convict, captured in a special compartment of approximately 2 square meters hidden behind a washing machine, was monitoring the surroundings of the building with security cameras.
In Kütahya, Yasin K., who had a finalized 6-year and 5-month prison sentence within the scope of FETÖ/PDY investigations and had been a fugitive for 6 years, was caught by police teams in the house where he was hiding during an operation. It was revealed that the convict, who was stated to have acted as the so-called 'villages leader' within the organization, was hiding in a secret compartment of approximately 2 square meters created behind a washing machine.
ADDRESS DETERMINED THROUGH TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL SURVEILLANCE
Teams from the Kütahya Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch launched an operation to capture Yasin K., who was wanted with a finalized 6-year and 5-month prison sentence from two separate cases within the scope of FETÖ/PDY investigations. As a result of physical and technical surveillance, it was determined that the convict, who had been hiding at different addresses for a long time, had arrived at a 3-story apartment building in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood.
FOUND IN HIDDEN COMPARTMENT BEHIND WASHING MACHINE
Upon this, teams conducted an operation at the specified address and searched the apartment on the second floor where Yasin K.'s wife was present. During the search, police suspected a section between the bedroom and bathroom, and removed the washing machine located under a cabinet. The fugitive convict, hiding in a secret compartment of approximately 2 square meters created behind the machine, was caught and taken into custody here.
DETERMINED TO HAVE BEEN MONITORING THE SURROUNDINGS WITH CAMERAS
During inspections at the house, monitors belonging to security cameras covering the front and rear facades of the apartment were found. It is believed that Yasin K., who apparently monitored the surroundings with a security system, took this precaution against possible operations.
It was learned that the procedures of Yasin K., who was taken into custody, are ongoing at the police department.
