In Izmir, 9 suspects were detained in an operation organized by the police against FETO/PDY. It was reported that the organization's so-called 'police imam' S.N. was among the suspects. A study was conducted by the Izmir Provincial Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate and Intelligence Branch Directorate, coordinated by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, to uncover the activities of FETO/PDY.
THEY WERE DETERMINED TO BE BYLOCK USERS
Within the scope of the studies, it was determined that suspect S.N. acted as the so-called 'police imam' within the organization, while the others were users of the organization's secret communication program ByLock. It was found that the suspects were hiding in cell houses called 'absence houses' by the organization and had finalized prison sentences and arrest warrants against them. In the operation carried out this morning, 9 of the 10 suspects, including S.N., who were subject to detention orders, were caught. It was reported that efforts to capture the other suspect continue.
