Bosnian national player Adis Lagumdzija shared behind-the-scenes details about the season at Fenerbahçe in an interview with Meridian Sport. Lagumdzija, pointing specifically to Polish setter Bartosz Bednorz and French Earvin Ngapeth, said, "I don't like to speak badly about people, but other players spoke badly about us, and sometimes we have to respond. Especially the Polish player and the French player. They created a disaster. They dragged us down throughout the season, and in the end, they made statements that unfairly discredited our work and everything we did just to save their own skins."

The response to Lagumdzija's words was not long in coming. Earvin Ngapeth, who wore the Fenerbahçe jersey last season, strongly lashed out at the Bosnian player on his social media account. In his statement, the French star said, "In your career, you won two major trophies, one of which was with me. Your transfer after Lube was also thanks to that season.
