In the Salihli district of Manisa, Sultan Gürel Gök was killed by her husband Himmet Gök with five stab wounds following an argument. It was reported that Sultan Gürel Gök had obtained a restraining order against her abusive husband, and the incident occurred during a dispute stemming from this.
A 55-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her home in Manisa. Her 62-year-old husband, who confessed to the crime, was taken into custody.
STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES
The incident occurred around 11:30 PM last night at a house on 385 Sokak in the Yörük neighborhood of Salihli district. Upon a report to the 112 Emergency Call Center about a person injured by a knife at the home, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Health teams determined that Sultan Gürel Gök (55), who had been stabbed in 5 places, had died. Police detained the woman's husband, Himmet Gök (62). It was reported that Himmet Gök confessed to his crime during his statement at the police station.
HAD OBTAINED A PROTECTION ORDER
It was reported that Sultan Gürel Gök, who had filed a complaint about a week ago claiming her husband had beaten her, subsequently obtained a restraining order against Himmet Gök. It was stated that Himmet Gök, angered by this order, came to the house and killed his wife during an argument.
It was reported that Himmet Gök's procedures at the police station are ongoing.
