During the moments when flames were rising in the single-story house, Utanır, who was reportedly bedridden and affected by smoke, could not be rescued, while his wife, Zahide Utanır, was taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred in a house on Kazım Arıca Street for an undetermined reason. Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health, fire brigade, and police teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.

The fire was brought under control by the intervention of the fire brigade, but it was learned that bedridden Abdurrahman Utanır lost his life due to smoke inhalation. His 75-year-old wife, Zahide Utanır, who was also affected by the smoke, was evacuated from the house and was taken to the hospital after initial intervention.
