A fire that broke out in the Kurşunlu Mosque during Friday prayers in the Sur district of Diyarbakır was extinguished by the fire department. The congregation had to go to another mosque to perform their prayers.

A fire broke out for an undetermined reason during Friday prayers at the 508-year-old Kurşunlu Mosque (Fatih Mosque) located in the Fatih Paşa neighborhood of the Sur district in Diyarbakır.

Upon notification, police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade. While the mosque congregation went to another mosque to pray, the interior of the mosque was filled with smoke.
