SHE BROKE HER SILENCE AFTER DETENTION
In her statement, which was said to have been conveyed to the public through her lawyer, detained Tuğba Ekinci responded both to the accusations against her and to the criticism directed at her. Ekinci, who drew attention with the words "Is being beautiful a crime in this country?", emphasized that she did not have a paid subscription account. According to the news in Odatv, the singer, who stated that her family was also affected by what happened, drew attention especially to the situation of her 80-year-old mother.
Here is the statement of detained Tuğba Ekinci: "I have continued my artistic career of more than twenty years with honor; I took the stage alongside our veterans and the families of our martyrs without expecting anything in return. Today, however, because of a bikini video that was spread out of context, I am being detained without any concrete evidence. During this process, severe insults were directed at me and my family. Is being beautiful a crime in this country? I have no paid subscription account, I did not receive a single penny from anyone. Using my womanhood and beauty in exchange for money is incompatible with my character. No one can tarnish my honor. My 80-year-old mother has been deeply worn down during this process. I sincerely believe in the sensitivity that our esteemed President, our esteemed Minister of Justice and our valued members of the judiciary will show in rapidly clarifying the process. My trust in Turkish justice is complete."
