In Silivri, Istanbul, gendarmerie teams acted upon a report of a stolen vehicle and managed to apprehend the thief. However, the thief managed to escape by stealing the gendarmerie vehicle as well. The thief, who has 90 criminal records and was using someone else's identity, was later caught in Pendik.
A thief who first stole his cousin's vehicle in Silivri, Istanbul, and then stole the vehicle of the gendarmerie teams that caught him, has been apprehended.
HE WAS CAUGHT WITH THE STOLEN VEHICLE
On January 6, 2025, at around 02:15 at night, an incident occurred where a person's cousin Mustafa S.'s vehicle was reported stolen and taken to a horse farm in Silivri. Upon receiving the notification, the Silivri District Gendarmerie Command teams took action. The gendarmerie teams arrived at the address and apprehended the suspect Süleyman Eyüp B., who was found with the stolen vehicle.
HE HAD ALSO STOLEN A GENDARMERIE VEHICLE AND DISAPPEARED
During the evidence collection and search operations of the gendarmerie teams, the detained suspect stole the gendarmerie vehicle he was in and fled from the farm. The individual later abandoned the gendarmerie vehicle in Şişli OK Meydan and disappeared.
90 CRIMINAL RECORDS WERE FOUND
As a result of the follow-up, the suspect was caught by the Silivri District Gendarmerie Command teams in the Pendik area. During the interrogation, it was determined that the suspect Süleyman Eyüp B. had 90 separate criminal records, including theft and qualified fraud. After undergoing a health check at Silivri State Hospital, the suspect was referred to Silivri Courthouse.
HE GAVE ANOTHER PERSON'S IDENTITY INFORMATION
Furthermore, it was revealed that when the suspect was caught at the farm on January 6, 2025, he provided the gendarmerie teams with someone else's identity information and introduced himself as Tayyip F.
