The international credit rating agency Fitch Ratings has changed the credit rating outlook of 9 Turkish banks from 'stable' to 'positive'.
NEW International credit rating agency Fitch Ratings has changed the credit outlook of 9 Turkish banks from "stable" to "positive".
THE RATING OF 9 TURKISH BANKS HAS INCREASED
An explanation was made by Fitch regarding the matter. It was reported that the credit outlook of 9 Turkish banks has been changed from "stable" to "positive", and the long-term local and foreign currency credit ratings have also been confirmed as "BB-".
The statement indicated that the revision in the outlook reflects a decision similar to Fitch's change of Turkey's credit outlook to "positive" last week, stating, "The revision in the country rating outlook reflects a further reduction in external vulnerabilities following an increase in foreign exchange reserves that exceeded expectations since the rating upgrade in September 2024, improvements in the quality of reserves, and a decrease in foreign currency conditional liabilities."
The banks whose outlook has been upgraded to positive were listed as Ziraat Bankası, Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası, Halkbank, Türk Eximbank, Türkiye Kalkınma ve Yatırım Bankası, Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası, VakıfBank, Vakıf Katılım, and Ziraat Katılım.
