The entry into force of the agreement ending the war between the US and Iran lowered Brent crude oil and the metric ton prices of gasoline and diesel in global markets. Following three consecutive cuts in diesel, a reduction of 3.96 TL in gasoline appeared as of midnight tonight. The discount amount expected to be reflected at the pump due to the price adjustment mechanism was calculated as 99 kuruş.
With the agreement between the US and Iran, Brent crude oil fell to $77. Experts expect a gradual decline in Brent crude to continue.
THREE CONSECUTIVE DISCOUNTS ON DIESEL
In global markets, the metric ton prices of gasoline and diesel are also falling. Diesel has seen consecutive discounts since the beginning of the week. On Tuesday, there was a discount of 1 lira 23 kurus, on Wednesday 42 kurus, and on Thursday 46 kurus. The total discount on diesel over three days, amounting to 2 lira 11 kurus, was reflected in pump prices.
DISCOUNT ALSO SEEN ON GASOLINE
After diesel, gasoline is next. A discount of 3.96 lira is expected on gasoline as of midnight tonight. Under the sliding scale system, a deduction will be made from the SCT (Special Consumption Tax). Therefore, the discount reflected at the pump will be 99 kurus.
Industry experts, pointing to the agreement between the US and Iran, said, 'We expect the decline in oil and international market prices for gasoline and diesel to continue, which will be reflected as discounts at the pump.'
