It has come to light how the bus accident, in which 11 people lost their lives and 26 people were injured in the Akhisar district of Manisa, occurred. In the EDS camera footage, it was seen that while the tour bus was making a reverse maneuver to turn into the highway exit it had missed, the tow truck coming from behind crashed into the bus at high speed, and the passenger bus overturned due to the severity of the collision.
It has emerged how the accident, in which 11 people lost their lives and 27 were injured, occurred near Ballıca Neighborhood on the İzmir direction of the İstanbul-Orhangazi-İzmir Highway in the Akhisar district of Manisa. The moment of the disaster, which occurred as a result of the collision between a tour bus and a tow truck, was captured by EDS cameras.
IT COLLIDED WITH THE TOW TRUCK WHILE REVERSING
In the footage that emerged, it was seen that the tour bus traveling in the direction of İzmir collided with the tow truck while it was reversing on the highway after missing the exit. With the impact of the collision, the bus tipped over on its side, while the tow truck went out of control and was thrown into the ditch at the roadside. It was stated that the bus driver reversed because he missed the highway exit he wanted to take, and the judicial investigation into the accident is ongoing.
THE BUS TIPPED OVER, THE TRUCK WENT OFF THE ROAD
The accident occurred around 11:11 on the İzmir direction of the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Highway, at the Akhisar Toll Booths location near Ballıca Neighborhood in Akhisar district. In the accident in which the tour bus and the truck collided, the bus tipped over and the truck went off the road. With the impact of the collision, the passengers on the bus were thrown around.
Upon notification, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality fire crews, ambulances, AFAD, and highway gendarmerie traffic teams were dispatched to the area. The injured who were trapped in the vehicles were removed from where they were by the work of fire crews. The injured were taken to hospitals in Akhisar and Manisa by ambulances.

According to the statement of the Manisa Governor's Office, 11 people lost their lives and 27 people were injured in the accident. In the governor's statement, it was stated: “We wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives in the accident, and urgent recovery to our injured.”
3 PUBLIC PROSECUTORS WERE ASSIGNED
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, who made a statement about the issue from his X account, used the following expressions: “Regarding the traffic accident that occurred in the Akhisar district of Manisa, the judicial investigation initiated by our Akhisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is being carried out meticulously by three of our public prosecutors. I wish mercy from Almighty God upon our citizens who lost their lives; condolences and patience to their families and relatives, and urgent recovery to our injured citizens. May our nation be comforted.”
3 DRIVERS WERE DETAINED
In the statement made by the Akhisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was said: “Within the scope of the investigation regarding the traffic accident in question, the driver of the tour bus with license plate 16 AED 124, M.A., the owner and relief driver of the bus, M.Y., and the driver of the tow truck with license plate 78 YD 559, H.K., have been detained, and the investigation regarding the traffic accident continues with all meticulousness.”
