After the incident, the claim that the married man introduced himself to M.M. as single drew attention. The 3 sisters, who denied the accusations, were referred to the courthouse.
A woman in Samsun was accused of beating a woman named M.M., whom she believed was having an affair with her husband, together with her two sisters. In the incident that took place in the middle of the street and was caught on security cameras, M.M., whose nose was broken, filed a complaint against the three sisters. While the suspects denied the accusations, the three women who were detained after the incident were referred to the courthouse.
SHE WAS ATTACKED BY 3 SISTERS
The incident occurred on October 7 around 19:30 on 56'lar Street in Bahçelievler Neighborhood. A woman named E.G. encountered M.M., whom she believed was having an affair with her husband V.G., on the street. E.G. and her sisters E.A. (27) and E.A. (23) were accused of beating M.M.
Citizens who saw the fight in the middle of the street and passengers on a municipal bus passing along the street at that time intervened in the incident. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.
HER NOSE WAS BROKEN; SHE WAS INJURED ON HER HEAD AND ARM
M.M., stating that she was attacked, was taken to Gazi State Hospital after the first intervention by medical teams. The woman, determined to have a broken nose and injuries to her head and arm, was placed under treatment.
It was learned that M.M. had previously obtained a restraining order against E.G., while the moments of the fight were captured by City Security Management System (KGYS) cameras.
“3 WOMEN LAID ME ON THE GROUND AND KICKED ME”
M.M., a divorced mother of one child who gave a statement to the police after her treatment, said that the attack took place in front of her 5-year-old daughter. M.M. described what happened as follows: “My friend and I left the shopping mall with my 5-year-old daughter M.M. and went to 56'lar Street. After sitting at the cafe for a while, we left. A vehicle belonging to V.G. slowed down next to me. As I was about to put my daughter in my own vehicle, a woman pulled me to the ground. Three women laid me on the ground and kicked and punched me in the head. One of those who hit me was E.A., and the other was a woman named E.G. I was kicked and punched. I saw E.A. pull out a knife. My friend was protecting my daughter at that moment. Afterwards, the municipal bus stopped and those who got off removed the women.”
3 SISTERS DENIED THE ACCUSATIONS
Police teams, who launched an investigation after the incident, detained the three sisters whose identities they identified.
E.G., one of the suspects, stated that she knew M.M. because she had an affair with her husband for about 8 months, and used the following statements:
“I know M.M. because she had a relationship with my husband for about 8 months while I was married. E.A. and E.A. are my sisters. Today, before the incident, we went to pick up my husband from the police station. Afterwards, we went to 56'lar Street. My sisters said, ‘We will drink coffee, you go home.’ Since my husband parked his car, he went to pick it up. During this time, I heard sounds of a fight. When I looked out of curiosity, I saw M.M., with whom I have a feud, and my sisters. I did not see them hit anyone.”
E.A., another suspect, argued that she did not hit anyone and said, “I did not hit anyone and did not insult anyone. I also do not have any noticeable injury. When I heard the sound of the fight, my sister E.G. came to us. She tried to separate them. My brother-in-law was waiting for us. We got into the car there and left. I do not accept the accusations against me.”
The other sister, E.A., also stated, “I did not hit anyone. I only defended myself. I do not accept the accusations against me. My sister E.G. did not have a knife in her hand.”
ALLEGATION THAT HE HID BEING MARRIED
Another striking detail about the incident also emerged about E.G.'s husband, V.G. It was alleged that V.G., who was said to run a travel agency, met M.M. there and introduced himself as single. It was stated that their relationship began in this way.
3 SISTERS REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE
E.G. and her two sisters, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse.
