A forest fire broke out in the Banaz district of Uşak. While aerial and ground interventions were initiated to extinguish the fire, 11 houses in the village of Kızılcaören were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Efforts have also been initiated to extinguish the forest fire in the Bayramiç district of Çanakkale and the Ayvalık district of Balıkesir.
A fire broke out in the forested area of Banaz district in Uşak, Bayramiç district in Çanakkale, and Ayvalık district in Balıkesir. Teams have started a race against time to bring the fires under control.
As the temperatures are above seasonal norms these days, news of forest fires came from Çanakkale, Balıkesir, and Uşak.
FOREST FIRE IN UŞAK
The intervention of the teams continues on the forested areas where fires broke out in two separate points in Uşak. Uşak Governor Turan Ergün visited the area where the forest fire occurred between Kızılcaören village, connected to Banaz district, and Kuşdemirler village and received information from Banaz District Governor Cuma Emeç and Senior Colonel Fahri Semiz, the Provincial Gendarmerie Commander. Governor Ergün stated that they received reports of forest fires from Kızılcaören village and Kayaağıl village near the city center around 15:50.
11 HOUSES EVACUATED
Ergün stated that the cause of the fires has not been determined yet and said, "We evacuated 11 houses in our Kızılcaören village as a precaution. There has been a serious intervention both from the air and the ground. 4 helicopters and 2 planes intervened in the fire in Banaz. 95 vehicles and 309 personnel from Uşak and surrounding provinces are still intervening on the ground. The intervention from the ground is still ongoing." Ergün stated that the intervention from the ground continues in the fire in Kayaağıl village and said, "We are intervening in the fire in Kayaağıl village with 44 vehicles and 112 personnel from the ground. 2 helicopters also intervened there. There is no threat to any residential area here."
MINISTER YUMAKLI IS FOLLOWING CLOSELY
Ergün stated that Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı is closely following the developments regarding the fires and they are in constant contact. Ergün stated that intensive air intervention will be carried out again from tomorrow morning for the fires. Governor Ergün added that a helicopter with night vision is constantly conducting reconnaissance flights for the situation of the fires.
FIRE ALARM IN ÇANAKKALE
Efforts are underway to intervene in the forest fire that started in the forested area of Ayvacık district in Çanakkale. Forest Regional Directorate of Çanakkale and Ayvacık Forest Management Directorate teams and land vehicles were dispatched to the area upon notification. The teams are working to bring the fire under control.

Efforts have been initiated to extinguish the forest fire that broke out in the forested area in Küçükköy neighborhood of Ayvalık district in Balıkesir. Forest Regional Directorate and municipality teams were dispatched to the area. The teams are trying to bring the fire under control.
