The flames rising from a forested area in Muğla's Fethiye district were brought under control before spreading, thanks to the intensive intervention of air and ground teams dispatched to the region, who raced against time.
A forest fire that broke out in the Fethiye district of Muğla was brought under control within 1 hour thanks to the rapid intervention of teams from both air and ground.
TEAMS IMMEDIATELY INTERVENED
The incident occurred around 15:30 in a forested area in Fethiye's Taşyaka neighborhood. Upon reports from citizens who saw the flames rising for an undetermined reason, the area was effectively cordoned off by teams.
To combat the fire, 1 firefighting helicopter, 3 water tankers, 1 initial response vehicle, along with numerous forest management teams and fire trucks were dispatched to the region.
A RACE AGAINST TIME
Racing against time to prevent the flames from spreading due to the wind, the teams managed to bring the fire under control in just 1 hour following intensive efforts from air and ground.
While cooling operations are meticulously ongoing in the area, a comprehensive investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
