In the US, former CIA official David Rush has been arrested and accused of stealing over 300 gold bullion bars valued at more than $40 million (approximately 2 billion TL) from the government. During an FBI search of Rush's home, approximately $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches were also seized. Prosecutors noted that Rush used his internal authority to take millions of dollars in assets, with some of the money reportedly found in a warehouse.

A lawsuit filed against a former senior CIA official in the US has made headlines. According to federal court records in Virginia, former CIA employee David Rush is accused of embezzling millions of dollars in public assets.

OVER 300 GOLD BARS SEIZED

In the investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), it was stated that Rush took large amounts of government currency and gold bars under the pretext of "work-related expenses."

During a search of Rush's home on May 18, authorities seized over 300 gold bars with a market value estimated at over $40 million (approximately 2 billion TL). The searches also resulted in the confiscation of about $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches.

PART OF THE MONEY FOUND IN A WAREHOUSE

In the statement submitted to the court by the FBI agent handling the case, it was noted that Rush's intended use for the millions of dollars in funds has not yet been clarified. According to the investigation file, part of the money was found in a warehouse near the office where Rush worked.

Former CIA official David Rush, who was taken into custody last week, has been charged with "stealing public funds." No official statement has been made regarding when Rush left his position at the CIA.
