A concerning statement about former US President Joe Biden's health condition has come from his son, Hunter Biden. Speaking to the BBC, Hunter Biden stated that his father's prostate cancer has spread to his bones and other parts of his body, saying the disease has become extremely painful and debilitating.
"VERY PAINFUL AND DEBILITATING"
Hunter Biden became emotional while talking about his father's illness during an interview with the BBC's Newsnight program on August 7.
Stating that his father's cancer has progressed, Hunter Biden said the disease has spread to the bones and that this is "very painful and very debilitating" for Biden. Hunter described watching his father's suffering as "truly heartbreaking."
Hunter Biden also said about his father's health condition, "I wish he would complain more," noting that Biden often does not voice the pain he experiences.
CANCER HAD EMERGED IN 2025
Joe Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis was announced in May 2025, approximately four months after he left the presidency.
A statement from Biden's office reported that the cancer was an aggressive form, had spread to the bones, and had a Gleason score of 9. It was also noted that the disease is hormone-sensitive and therefore can be kept under control with treatment.

Biden, 83, continues to appear before the public and make statements on the political agenda despite his health problems.
Hunter Biden also stated that despite the worsening of his father's health condition, he has not completely withdrawn from the public eye, adding that Biden maintains his commitment to his country.
