"RED" WARNING FOR 13 CITIES
The Ministry of Health updated the risk level of 13 cities, including the capital Rome, Florence, Ancona, Bologna, Campobasso, Frosinone, Latina, Palermo, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Trieste, and Viterbo, to "red" due to extreme heat today and warned the residents of these cities to be careful about the heat.
Meanwhile, the extreme heat is also causing forest fires in rural areas. According to the news of the Italian Dire agency, it was stated that more than 10,000 hectares of forest and shrubland have burned so far in 2024.
