INFRASTRUCTURE HAS BEEN DAMAGED
Meanwhile, the flood disaster has caused serious damage to infrastructure in the region. At least two regional train lines have been closed to traffic, and there have been power and water outages. A train traveling from Toulouse to Paris with 500 passengers was evacuated. Since Monday, there have been over 500 emergency calls in the Var region, and about 100 rescue personnel have been deployed from surrounding cities like Cannes.
