Drones attacked several airports in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Flights were halted due to the attacks, while social media accounts close to Ukraine shared images from the moments of the attack with the note "Moscow's sky has been shut down."
The capital of Russia, Moscow, was shaken by attacks carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Due to the attacks targeting multiple airports, flight traffic in the city was temporarily halted. Following the incident, the first images from the region began to spread on social media.
"THE SKY IS COMPLETELY CLOUDY"
Images purportedly from the moment of the attack were shared on many platforms, especially on pro-Ukrainian social media accounts. In a post accompanying the images, it was stated, "Moscow is currently under attack from good drones... The sky over the capital of Russia is completely cloudy."
FIRST STATEMENT FROM RUSSIA
In a statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was noted that 39 UAVs belonging to Ukraine were shot down, while Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin also announced that 3 UAVs attacking the city had been shot down.
