A forest fire that caused terrifying moments as it approached the doorsteps of homes in Diyarbakır Lice was prevented from turning into a disaster. As a result of the challenging struggle carried out against time by the teams of the Metropolitan Municipality, AFAD, and the Forestry Directorate, the fire was completely extinguished.
A forest fire that broke out in the evening hours in the Lice district of Diyarbakır grew out of control due to the wind. An alarm was raised in the region as the flames advanced towards residential areas.

In the forested area of Lice district in Diyarbakır, a fire started in the evening hours for an undetermined reason. The fire, whose cause has yet to be identified, spread over a wide area in a short time as the wind intensified.
TEAMS AND CITIZENS MOBILIZED
Following the report, numerous teams from the Fire Department, the Forest Management Directorate, and AFAD were dispatched to the region. As the fire began to threaten residential areas, citizens in the vicinity also provided support with their own means in addition to the teams.
