Kocaelispor's head coach Selçuk İnan reacted to the referee's decisions after the Konyaspor match, saying, "I don't like this referee. I want to say this clearly. I think he hates me too. I'm expressing what I feel inside, that's why I don't like him either. If this referee is assigned to my matches from now on, I will ask my president and my managers for permission, and I will say that I don't want to be on the sidelines."
In the 26th week of the Trendyol Super League, during the final moments of the match between Kocaelispor and Konyaspor, officiated by referee Cihan Aydın, Selçuk İnan received a red card for protesting against the referee after Konyaspor won a penalty. Following the incident, the Kocaelispor coaching staff and players also reacted to the decision and withdrew from the field.

Selçuk İnan, who stated that he made the explanation outside the stadium because he received a red card, expressed his reaction to the incident, saying, "I am suspended, I received a red card. There are protests in football, there are emotions, but getting a red card in such a situation really upset me.
