Niklas Süle, who once wore the jerseys of German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, scored on his debut for SV Tiefenbach, a team in the German 9th division. Despite Süle's goal, SV Tiefenbach lost the match 7-2.

Niklas Süle played for the most important teams in the Bundesliga for many years. After his emergence at Hoffenheim, the German centre-back transferred to Bayern Munich, where he made 171 appearances for the Bavarian club. In 2022, he moved to Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer, with a market value of 35 million euros.

Süle won 5 Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, as well as the UEFA Champions League in 2020. He also earned 49 caps and scored 1 goal for the German national team.

Süle, whose market value rose to 60 million euros at the peak of his career, saw his contract with Borussia Dortmund expire in June 2026. After ending his professional career, the 30-year-old footballer did not quit football entirely but instead joined SV Tiefenbach, where his friends also play.

HE SCORED ON HIS DEBUT

Süle, who went from the Champions League atmosphere to Germany's local leagues, made his debut for SV Tiefenbach against SG Kirchardt. Having played as a centre-back for most of his professional career, Süle played in midfield and attack in his first match for his new team.

SV Tiefenbach went into halftime 3-0 down, and the score reached 6-0 in the second half. In the 75th minute, Süle rose to head the ball into the net from a corner kick, making it 6-2.

HE SCORED BUT COULDN'T PREVENT A 7-2 DEFEAT

Süle's goal was not enough for his team. SG Kirchardt added another goal, and SV Tiefenbach lost the match 7-2. Süle played the full 90 minutes in the match, which was watched by around 500 people. It was noted that the former German international had only trained with his new team three times before the match. After the game, when asked how much he enjoyed the match, Süle gave a short answer, indicating that one can only enjoy a 7-2 game as much as possible.

HE CONTINUES PLAYING FOOTBALL TO PLAY WITH HIS FRIENDS

There is a different story behind Süle's move to the lower leagues. The German footballer had explained that after ending his professional career, the opportunity to play football with two close friends at SV Tiefenbach was important to him.

The 30-year-old player stated that after his 13-year professional career, he wanted to experience football again purely as a game, away from the pressure of work and money.
