The decline in global oil prices has been reflected as a welcome reduction in fuel prices in Türkiye. With a discount of approximately 5.30 TL applied to the liter price of diesel, diesel prices in the three major cities have dropped below the 80 TL level.
The downward movement in international Brent oil markets has been directly reflected in domestic fuel pumps. As of midnight, a discount of approximately 5.30 TL was applied to the liter price of diesel.
As of August 27, this development reflected on price boards has provided relief, especially in the transportation, logistics, and shipping sectors. The discount applied covers only the diesel group; no increase or decrease occurred in gasoline and LPG prices.
CURRENT PUMP PRICES IN THE THREE MAJOR CITIES
Following the discount, the liter price of diesel in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir fell below the psychological limit of 80 TL. Although distribution companies have small price differences based on districts and stations, the average fuel prices in the three major cities have shaped as follows:
