                    Galatasaray announced that a network based in Mersin, which conducted fraudulent activities amounting to thousands of Euros by targeting yellow-red fans with promises of box and season ticket sales, has been dismantled thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and the Mersin Provincial Police Department.
                    
                    
                       
The Galatasaray Club announced that a gang that committed fraud under the pretense of selling boxes and season tickets has been dismantled.
GANG DISMANTLED, 16 PEOPLE DETAINED
In a statement from the club, it was said, "As Galatasaray Sports Club, we have identified the existence of a network based in Mersin that targeted our fans and conducted fraudulent activities amounting to thousands of euros under the pretense of 'box and season ticket sales,' and this situation has been promptly reported to the relevant authorities. Following our report, thanks to the meticulous, swift, and effective efforts of our Ministry of Interior and the Mersin Provincial Police Department, 16 individuals have been detained, and the aforementioned criminal network has been captured and dismantled in a short time."
In the statement reminding fans to use only official channels, the following was emphasized:
"Our club sees protecting the safety and financial and moral rights of our fans as one of its primary responsibilities, as always. In this context, we strongly remind that caution should be exercised against similar illegal initiatives; and that only the official channels of Galatasaray Sports Club should be used when purchasing tickets, boxes, or any club products. We would like to thank our Minister of Interior, Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, our security forces, the Governor of Mersin, Mr. Atilla Toros, the Mersin Provincial Police Department, and all security personnel involved on behalf of the Galatasaray Sports Club community for their swift action and successful conclusion of the operation."
