Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk has been referred to the PFDK due to a threat made during the Kasımpaşa match played in the 7th week of the Trendyol Super League. According to Article 41 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations, Buruk is expected to receive a penalty ranging from 3 to 7 matches.

REASON FOR REFERRAL: THREAT

The statement made by TFF is as follows;

"Due to the "threat" posed by Okan Buruk, the technical responsible of Galatasaray Club, it has been decided to refer him to the PFDK with precautionary measures starting from 01.10.2024 in accordance with Article 41 of the Football Discipline Regulation."

PENALTY AWAITING OKAN BURUK

Okan Buruk has been referred to the PFDK under Article 41 of the Football Discipline Regulation.

Article 41 of the Football Discipline Regulation is as follows;

(1) Those who insult, curse, threaten, or attack personal rights in any way against TFF or its members, match officials, players, managers, or other relevant clubs and individuals, or who carry out these actions through press and media or social media;

(a) Players shall be suspended for 2 to 5 matches; if the acts are directed at match officials, the suspension shall be for 3 to 7 matches,

(b) Club managers shall face a ban of 30 to 60 days; if the acts are directed at match officials, the ban shall be for 75 to 150 days, and for Super League club managers, a fine ranging from 210,000.- TL to 900,000.- TL, for 1st League club managers from 90,000.- TL to 420,000.- TL, for 2nd League club managers from 78,000.- TL to 150,000.- TL, and for 3rd League club managers from 51,000.- TL to 90,000.- TL,

(c) Officials and other individuals shall be suspended for 2 to 5 matches; if the acts are directed at match officials, the suspension shall be for 3 to 7 matches, or a ban from the locker room and bench for 21 to 50 days, and if deemed necessary according to the severity of the act, a fine ranging from 50,000.- TL to 500,000.- TL shall be imposed.

(2) Those who spit at individuals other than match officials shall be suspended for 4 to 6 matches, banned from the locker room and bench, or face a ban of 45 to 90 days. If this act is directed at match officials, the suspension shall be for 8 to 12 matches, banned from the locker room and bench, or face a ban of 90 to 180 days.

(3) If the actions specified in the first paragraph are carried out through the clubs' press and media outlets (especially official websites, club televisions) or social media accounts, clubs shall be fined from 600,000.- TL to 1,800,000.- TL for the Super League, from 330,000.- TL to 900,000.- TL for the 1st League, from 180,000.- TL to 330,000.- TL for the 2nd League, and from 90,000.- TL to 180,000.- TL for the 3rd League.

(4) The penalties of suspension from matches, ban from the locker room and bench, and deprivation of rights specified in this article cannot be converted into fines.
