In a drug operation conducted by gendarmerie teams in the Gönen district of Balıkesir, YouTube broadcaster Ahmet Çakır was arrested after drugs and a cannabis plant were seized in his home.
In Şaroluk Neighborhood of Gönen district, gendarmerie teams took action after receiving information that Ahmet Çakır was growing cannabis in the wooden house on his land.
DRUGS FOUND IN HIS HOUSE
In the operation carried out by Sarıköy Gendarmerie Station Command teams on October 26, 2026, 620 grams of skunk drug, 6 skunk plants, 50 grams of cannabis seeds, a precision scale, air conditioning and lighting system, an unlicensed hunting rifle, a mobile phone, and 34 thousand lira considered to have been obtained from crime were seized.
ARRESTED
Ahmet Çakır, who was detained in the operation and was learned to have made broadcasts on YouTube, was arrested by the judicial authorities to which he was referred after his procedures at the gendarmerie and sent to prison.
Proceedings were carried out regarding the incident within the scope of the crimes of manufacturing and trading drugs, illegal cultivation, and using or possessing drugs.
