German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made a striking assessment regarding the conflict in Iran. Describing US President Donald Trump as "without strategy," Merz stated that the Tehran administration is insulting Americans.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz claimed that the United States was "humiliated by Tehran" in its negotiations with Iran. Merz argued that the Trump administration fell behind in the negotiation process against Iran.
NOTABLE PRAISE FOR IRAN
Speaking to students in Marsberg, Merz noted that Iranian negotiators managed the process effectively, saying, "The Iranians are clearly very talented negotiators, or rather very skilled at not negotiating; they make the Americans go to Islamabad and come back without any results."
Merz stated, "A whole country is being humiliated by the Iranian regime, especially by the Revolutionary Guards. I hope this ends as soon as possible."
"TRUMP ENTERED THE WAR WITHOUT A STRATEGY"
Merz, harshly criticizing US President Trump, said, "Mr. Trump apparently entered this war without any strategy. This makes the situation even more complicated. Especially because the Iranians negotiate very skillfully, or rather they don't negotiate skillfully." The German Chancellor added, "A whole nation is being humiliated by the Iranian state administration, particularly by the so-called Revolutionary Guards."
TRUMP SAID, "WE HOLD THE CARDS"
US President Donald Trump, in an interview with US-based television channel Fox News the previous day, said, "We hold all the cards," indicating that Iran could contact his country if it wanted to talk.
In the latest diplomatic process conducted by the Trump administration for indirect talks with Iran, it was reported that a planned visit by US negotiators to the Pakistani capital Islamabad was canceled, and no progress was made in talks two weeks ago.
